The answer depends on if you’re paying for yourself or if your employer is paying for you? If you are applying as an individual seeking your own SIA licence, you can apply directly on the SIA’s website.
There are 3 steps to the licence application process:-
- Create an online account with the SIA at SIA.gov.
- Log into your SIA account, click on ‘Process new application’ and answer the questions. Try to be as honest and accurate as you can. Once you’ve completed this stage you will be required to pay a fee.
- Following this, you should go to your local Post Office with your ID – your identification will be checked and verified so it’s important that you take the originals documents and not photocopies. The Post office will take your picture using a passport style Photo booth, this is the picture that will appear on your SIA licence.
